Casio MT-60
The Casio MT-60 looks a lot like the Casio MT-45, but its hardware is completely different. The rather minimal, preprogrammed patterns are captivating and hold some interesting figures when enhanced with the additional arpeggio function. The bass resembles a classic squarewave and also the drum sounds have the character of old organs from the seventies. Along with the fairly thin and harsh cords they form a destinctive and dynamic sound.
By chance, I found some forbidden connections during my usual modification routine, causing 16th rolls on the singular drum sounds. Beautiful and handy for breaking up the drum patterns; you can hear it clearly in the audio example.
I built in the following functions:
- Mute switch for bass and chords
- Mute switch for almost all singular drum sounds
- Additional "tempo fine" controller
- nstallation of "fills" buttons & switches for BD, SN OP and HH (16th rolls)
