Circuit Bending

Yamaha PSS-80

You could call the PSS-80 something like PSS-100's kid brother as it sounds just as "pokey" and also has a similar look. Sadly, it only has 8 sounds on board, although these can be massively changed by the voice variator.

The 8 accompanying beats and chord sounds are even thinner than on the PSS-100, making the PSS-80 sound absolutely unique. The cool, tape-deck-like sequencer was replaced by a normal rec/ play function. All in all a very interesting and novel device without line or headphone outputs, so I built a cinch output in.
